Associate

An Associate is expected to exhibit full competence in the traditional facets of architecture. This role requires the capability to independently handle various assignments related to architectural design, specifically focusing on projects of small to moderate size and complexity, or specific segments within larger projects. This includes conducting comprehensive analyses of design, planning, occupancy studies, and developing design layouts. An Associate is accountable for tasks including drafting project specifications, meticulously compiling and analyzing relevant data, and composing detailed reports. Additionally, they play a role in reviewing finalized reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.

Qualifications: Professional degree in architecture (non-licensed)

Years of Experience: 2 - 3 years

Job Captain

A Job Captain serves as the primary point of contact for designated projects, acting as a central communication hub and repository for project information that plays a vital role in translating the design vision into tangible outcomes and overseeing project production. Collaborating closely with Project Managers and the broader project team, a Job Captain assists in seamless coordination. They leverage their professional architectural expertise to plan, design, and coordinate projects of varying size and complexity. A Job Captain independently applies architectural concepts and innovative designs, tackling intricate or unconventional tasks that may necessitate the utilization of new or enhanced techniques and procedures. Furthermore, they may offer technical guidance to less experienced staff. A key aspect of their role includes managing specific technical design aspects, involving investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions aligned with client requirements.

Qualifications: Professional degree in architecture (non-licensed)

Years of Experience: 3 - 5 years

Project Manager

A Project Manager collaborates closely with Firm Directors and Principals across various project facets, from securing work to aligning client expectations and ensuring efficient project execution. A PM encompasses managing project-related business aspects, including budget and schedule adherence, contractual terms, billing, invoicing, and payments. They have an acute understanding of project deliverables and notify the Firm Director or Principal when an Additional Service Request may be necessary. A Project Manager acts as the liaison between the client and the project team, ensuring the project meets client satisfaction regarding schedule, budget, and scope of work. They fill the role of team leader and they actively manage project communications and documentation, overseeing office administrative tasks, and assigning project teams. A Project Manager oversees multiple small to midsize projects comprehensively, estimating their scope of work, and holds full accountability for their successful management. This includes developing strategic plans, coordinating all project elements (administrative and technical), and optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications: Professional degree in architecture (licensure preferred but not required)

Years of Experience: minimum of 5 years
